For my Corporate Law class, I was assigned to give a presentation explaining intellectual property by examining well-known cases. I chose Forever 21 because they are notorious for "stealing" designs from well-known designers, however, many wonder how they can get away with it legally.

The reason fashion designers cannot trade-mark their work is because, by law, fashion is deemed as "utility" instead of "art".
